Absolventenprofil

Mission of the study program ‘Condensed Matter Physics’ is based on preparing students for active solving of scientific tasks in laboratories of fundamental and applied research. Students obtain knowledge of classical and quantum physics, the attention is devoted to both theoretical and experimental aspects. Studied mathematical background enables acquiring skills in modern computing techniques, programming and applying computers in automation of experiments. The study is profiled by core subjects, namely, structure of solids, quantum theory of solids, low temperature physics, physics of metals, electronics and magnetism of solids. Experimental techniques in solid state physics are also addressed. After graduation of the program, a student is capable of finding a position of a programmer or a qualified manager. It is assumed that significant part of the students will continue in their studies to obtain PhD degree in domestic universities or abroad.
